Annabel Abraham

Annabel Abraham, seeking a two-year term, has been a resident of the Village for 53 years. With a stellar record of community service, Annabel has served in many capacities. Her late husband, Bernard, was a former trustee on the Oak Park Village Board and president of the elementary and high school boards.

Annabel graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Speech/ Language Pathology. She worked in public schools in Gary, Indiana and locally and also for the West Suburban Association for Special Education (WSASE).

Annabel has been a board member of the West Suburban Temple.  She has served as a commission member on the Retail Support Committee, the Universal Access Commission and, currently, the Citizen Involvement Commission.

Annabel also served as a board member of the Senior Citizen Center of Oak Park and River Forest and as a volunteer at the Hemingway Museum. She is a member of the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory.
